This is a list i think every mom should know about!!! i always tounge in cheek want to send out mass emails every AUGUST reminding Moms to be on the ready.... lol, Some day ... when i write that book that as a mom i COULD... one of the chapters will be...
called... ''School SUPPLIES''. and i dont MEAN CRAYONS!
I just loooove it when my kids come home and say MOOOooM, I NEEED _____ by ____!!!!!!
(insert 2 days from that day)
~My list will outline the ODD and various Things A MOTHER dern well better have on hand once Lil Zack or Emmery heads off to school in Aug.

ALWAYS have...
SHOE BOXES (plural)
cereal box(for that sneaky teacher ;p who likes to use those instead of shoe boxes!)
empty Toilet paper AND paper towel tubes.
marbles.
BUTTONS
unused/old keys
pine cones [med to lg sized.]
paper grocery bags.(and i love when they go so far as to request...one, ''preferably with one side unprinted'' i mean... huh!:crazy: !.....)
wire hangers... preferably with the cardboard on the lower part- this one drove me NUTS last yr!
empty baby food jars
egg cartons...keep one of ea paper & styrofoam... just in case that has a preference!
a few good nature magazines for cutting out photos-
Glitter glue-
poster boards or foam board.



I have learned faaar too much the hard way that, i have to keep things on hand for the sudden request. :D

Oh, I am so glad those days are over for me! Ah, I remember them well. I used to call and beg my neighbors for the things I couldn't come up with.
Good luck Ang. I am sure they aren't needed in two days though unless its in writing. Children tend to be drama queens and want things immediately.

SNORT!!! haH HA! yeaaah THATS about right Sli!!! I've scavenged around like a wacko looking for this stuff in the past! ;p

when Bri n Ev were in ktg, they needed a dozen different leaves bring a variety..i think it said..... in late OCTOBER... @ that time, all that was left was brown curled up oak leaves- and some shrubbery ones.--- they were planning on making animals out of them! :bonk: their teacher had a book which was REALLY cool- that the author had used leaves to make 2D lions, crabs, birds.... it WAS a neat concept- but it was so hard to find good leaves then. and thats not really something you can save up!!!
