I'm trying this for the first time. It is the first time I really had a picture I wanted to post, so if it doesn't work, I'll try to email them to someone who does know how to post them.

Here's my first try.

I think I got one picture. It is is my daughter (Juliet) with my youngest granddaughter (Ava).

I'll post the next one after this on a new post if this works.

I'm trying to find another picture that is small enough to upload onto this post.

This is my son with the same granddaughter with my son Justin.

I can't find one with a small enough picture to post of my other granddaughter. So I'll keep looking for one.

Nice job Mouse :thumb:
Great pictures of your son and daughter. I loved the Big Brown eyes on Ava. What a beautiful little girl she is. Treasure these moments.
It is hard to believe my granddaughter is going to be 15 yrs old next month, yikes, where did the time go.

Great pics, Mouse! Thanks for sharing.

If you are having trouble with pics being too big, I can help. PM me. I can also point you to an easy-to-use program that will let you resize them yourself if you'd like. Just let me know if I can help.

Do you miss Prescott? 28o here, this morning--will have sunshine this afternoon. We need some rain, as usual. The leaves are on the ground, awaiting composting.

Even though it is much colder where you are--are you having sunshine?

Your kids are really handsome. Baby is darling. J

I think my first couple of months here was much more traumatic than I thought it would be but everything is getting better.

Now the weather here has been about the same as Prescott, if not warmer, even. Today we were in the high 50's and yesterday it was in the 60's. We have snow in the mountains but not a lot on Pike's Peak in comparison to some years (I hear).

We had snow a couple of weeks ago during conference times, so we had to reschedule all those conferences. The kids were off already. It was nice, but gone in a couple of days (like in Prescott).

My daughter has been emailing and snail-mailing her two best friends from Prescott and so at times really misses Prescott. I'm taking her and another girl from her school tomorrow out bowling. It is kind of like a trial run with her to see if she might find a new friend her that will be more than an acquaintance. She is meeting "acquaintances" right now but only a couple they may turn into more. She is also starting to play volleyball again and I think she will meet some new kids through that. Her Prescott bestfriends were both volleyball players and so it is something she would have in common with the new girls.

My son is doing great at school. No best friends yet, either, but very busy with wrestling. He won the city championship for his weight class and is doing really well in his academics, too. He is getting friends from his wrestling just none yet that are calling to ask him over. We might have to help him in that area as well. He is so busy with wrestling and keeping his grades up that having time to ask others over or go over to someone else's house is limited.

He also made the school district city-wide middle school choir. He was suppose to get into choir at the beginning of the school year but it was too full, so in January they said he could start then.

He has two great opportunities. First, he is a good enough (and improving) wrestler so that his coach said there is a good chance he could make the varsity team during his freshman year. (He is wrestling at the 88 lb. weight class. Last year he was wrestling at the 78lb so he gained 10 pounds. Next year he would have to gain about 12 lbs from this time until next year and he would be the perfect weight for the lowest bracket in the high school wrestling team. Since he gained 10 last year I imagine he will probably do the same this summer.)

Second, he is really a good singer, etc., and there is usually a great demand for good male singers in high school. His choir teacher also thinks he has a good chance of making one of the better groups they have (I don't know what they are here. In Prescott they were the swing choir or concert choir or even another special name.)

I also have a very unruly, ill-mannered, self-centered, immature, third grade class. I'm not losing sleep over them because I know it is nothing I am doing wrong in my class management and teaching. There are some children that you have to make it worth something to them. I'm trying to find that something....good or bad.

I guess, even though I had a lot of acquaintances in Prescott, I had very few friends. Any contact I have had has been initiated by me. Because of my being busy those contacts are few.

We are having some friends over tomorrow.

Well, I guess that's a pretty good summary of life here.

My husband says that was an epic..... not a post. ha ha
