Well that's what the Flat Earth Society believed.
I came across this site today that has the commericals that have been on the TV here for some time. I just wanted to share them with you all. The first one about the flat earth society sounds kinda spooky and seems like a great place to hold survivor sometime. Even though they would have to come in the summer time if they want the survivors around in bathing suits. The second 2 are just cool, in my opinion. When you get to the page jus scroll down to "Beauty on Film"

I think it's awesome. It would be a neat change from the usual. I don't know that M.B. would film survivor in a place where the contestants might have to wear a jacket, though.
Looking at all the insects attacking Adam, I wonder how they can all stand to run around in so little clothing. I'd want to protect my skin a little bit if I could.

Those pictures are truly beautiful. I'll bet your lungs are pink and pretty. Having lived in So Cal for most of my life, I know mine are dark and sooty.
Would you tell us about your Winters?

The winters are not half as bad now as everyone things. We don't have six months of night and six months of day like a lot of people seem to think. The winter months (December - March) are mild with an average temp of 0 degrees celsius (32 degrees F)
It seems that every year there is this one big storm that takes place. I have some pictures posted in another thread somewhere here which shows the snow fall and how high it can get. But those are not common.
Here are some links.

I had seen your deeeep snow pictures and certainly thought that you were in truly frigid weather during the Winter. Are you close to water? Certainly would mitigate the cold.

...I worded that question during a senior moment. I meant to ask whether you were located more inland or more coastal. Would you locate your residence on a map for us?

Sure can. I live about a 10 minute drive from the harbour. I made an animated gif to show you.

Have you always lived in that area? What kind of work do you do? I'm fascinated by your geographic location and the benefits/liabilities of living in that area.

Yep I have always lived in that area, or very close by, you can see the place where I lived before moving to the city in that last pic.
I work for an american company that outsources inbound call centres. So, I work at a call centre, the work is just alright at best.
now for benefits/liabilities of living in this area? ehh, well the people are friendly, the land can be wild and the area is pretty much clean. Lots of fresh water, salt water, wonderful places to visit. We have our own time zone. When it's 12pm in NY it's 1:30 pm here.
The worst things about this place is shortage of good jobs, health care is just average(but cheaper than the USA I hear ;) )

...Who moved to San Diego from Newfoundland. She wasted no time in telling us that it was pronounced NewfoundLAND. If you feel like it, tell us more. J

oh yes!
That is a big thing to a Newfoundlander. You have to say it right lol
I say it as one word like "newfunland"
also wikipedia has a good example.
I get a little excited when someone sparks interest in where I'm from, I guess I'm just super proud of my heritage.

...Is that correct? The link you provided is wonderful. I couldn't get some of them to "show", but I enjoyed the three videos.
When you marry, will you stay in the same area?
