Pot Luck ideas?

I need a "side dish" for the PTA potluck on Monday. I always freeze up on potluck ideas! Too much pressure? That's gotta be it! I get all flustered for Mr Gabby's office potlucks, too!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to make something on Sunday that will be good Monday evening, but I will have time Monday if you have "the perfect" idea!

Cranberry Chili Meatballs

1 can of jellied cranberry sauce
1 can of chili
a few squirts of ketchup
small meatballs (italian flavoured meatballs gives it a little extra zing)

Mix all 4 together and bake as directed for meatballs.
Halfway through baking take out the mixture and mix then continue baking.

I love these and they became a real winner at that pot luck we had last winter

By side dish, do you mean a casserole, or a vegetable, or fruit salad?

Curly Cucumber Pasta Salad

1 large cuke, unpared, shredded
1 pkg multi colored curly pasta, prepared as directed
2 medium roma tomatoes, finely cut up
1 small bottle Italian dressing (can be low fat)
3 T miracle whip light
1 T italian seasonings (or 1 tsp each basil, garlic, oregano)
1/4 tsp black pepper, more if desired

Mix well in tupperware type bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight for best flavor. If it seems dry before serving, add a bit more miracle whip or Italian dressing.

"Side dish" is very general. They've only divided it into "side dish" and "dessert" -- so unless people are making a meal of salads (likely, I guess) then some "meatier" stuff would be welcome.
