We live on the left side of a duplex. We had the neighbor from hell from the day she moved in. Stole cable off our line, blamed us for he former tenants getting evicted, tried blaming us for the cellar flooding, stuff like that. Vacuumed at 11 pm - and the walls are thin. She let her cats run wild, they'd be out there in winter, crying on my deck. It was the only bad thing about living here.
Well, she got evicted.
And tonight, the new neighbors stopped by. They'll start cleaning the place and painting tomorrow and wanted to know if I could watch their son for them. Considering it's my grandson Chase, the answer is hell yeah. :biglaugh:
My oldest daughter (Noodle) and her husband are renting the place. Even if things don't work out, it can't get as bad as it was. And having the little guy on the other side of the wall is something I'm really looking forward to.

:D
Family nights for Lost will REALLY be busy now.
Glad the neighbor from hell is gone. That alone would be great. Having Noodle and Chase on the other side will be awesome!

Any date when they plan to move in? Sound like they have a lot of work though.

12/1 - and the place is going to be phenomenal when they finally get in.
My poor SIL spent about 4 hours cleaning the oven out. Apparently, the old tenant never believed in cleaning anything. He actually wound up taking a shovel to it. And then he called us to brave the fumes - spotless. Amazing. We also found their deck and I wound up being able to salvage and clean three chairs, so we have a spot to sit when we take a break.
We finally got all the trash bagged and today, we'll finish patching the holes in the walls, start taking down the borders and possibly steam cleaning the carpets.
This''ll be Noodles first home of her own. They were living in his parent's basement for years. It's his second place, but the first one since he started a family. It's unbelievable to watch the two of them. They'll work til they bicker and then they wind up hugging and telling each other it's their first home. LOL...it's cute.
Oh - and they need to see our Christmas lights before we decorate. They're planning on coordinating, so we're finally going to have both sides done and matching. They thought it was funny that they'll be decorating BEFORE they move in, but that's the way to do it - no moving all the furniture to make room for this and that.

Congrats on the "new" neighbors. Noodle must be very excited to have her own place. My son and girlfriend moved into their 1st place last spring. They have lots of space, my grandson has his own room and everything is going great. The two of them have gone thru a lot to get were they are today. And yes, I can finally celebrate -- Eric gave Ashley a diamond last week. Finally a wedding to plan and also a new addition to the family as she is expecting in April. So my little guy Jay (my avatar) will become a big brother. Lots to look forward to.
