A Message from Frawnie

I received an e-mail from Frawniemae and she asked me to share the news with you.

Frawnie's mom passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday. The funeral will be at 1 pm tomorrow (Tuesday) so prayers or comforting thoughts at that time - or really at any time - would be most welcome.

She sends her thanks to all who have been keeping her mother and her family in their thoughts and prayers.

My heart sank when I saw the title of this thread. There's nothing anyone can say beforehand that can prepare you for this type of loss, and nothing anyone can say to truly comfort you afterwards.

Thanks to one and all for your good thoughts and (((hugs))). I'm really feeling quite all right about it all. Mama had suffered and fought long and hard the past year or two to be around for several milestones: her oldest daughter's first and probably only granddaughter to be born, my son achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, the birth of another great grandchild and learning the skill of forgiving. She was tired and in pain all the time and was just flat out tired of living. So, she is at rest now and everyone is dealing with her passing just fine. It was a long time coming. I know we all will have our "moments" but for me, it is a relief knowing that I don't have to worry about her anymore. This chapter is closed.

Thanks for everything especially for being a place where I knew I could come to just regroup.

Thanks for thinking of me. Things are still going well. I have my moments where I have to remind myself that mama isn't here anymore. But, then I remember that her last weeks were so extremely hard on her and I'm thankful she's at rest now.

Thanks, kramer. Life is moving so quickly now that my baby's
high school graduation is approaching. I know mama was trying so hard to make it to his graudation day that the last day she was able to talk to me she said something that made me think that she thought he'd already graduated. In her mind he had. I didn't try to change her mind. So that was a good thing.

Things are okay.
