Congrats to Aras for winning Survivor: Panama Exile Island!
I think he deserved it.

I find it very interesting that Terry voted for Aras, though I expected he would. Just as interesting is the fact that Aras said that he would have voted for Terry had he been in the final 2. Though I didn't really like Aras I think an all men's final with Aras and Terry would have been very interesting.

Imho, Aras Was One Of The Least Deserving...
...Winners. Only the used car salesman was a lesser specimen. Aras is young, inquiring, and sweet--in a little-boy way. That's just it. How many of you were still living wth Mommy&Daddy when you were 24? He earned a B. A. at UCI. Why isn't he working?
By the time I was 24, I had been teaching for three years. I'll bet most of you were working, also.
I have an aversion to spoiled boy-men. O f course he "worked hard and gave 100% to the challenges" He's a kid. He has lots of energy. It was a competition for him.
Terry clearly deserved to win. If only he had loosened up his anal sphincter and given the immunity to Danielle, he would have won.

sorry woodturner I disagree, If he gives up the II then Danielle tells Aras and assures her way into the final 3. I really believe Danielle would have turned on him in a second, just like she did in choos ing a final 2 partner.

I think he does work. He's a yoga instructor, right? Probably not a ton of money in that. He says it's his passion. How many people hate their work by comparison? I don't hold that against him - especially at his age. And I really don't see what it has to do with his deserving to win or not.
In the early part of the show, I really disliked Aras. But then, in the early part of the show, I disliked Cirie too. I really think he learned a lot along the way. Not that that alone makes him deserving but it is a stark difference from Terry who appears to have learned nothing.
Terry bulled his way through challenges but was a disaster at both strategy and social skills. And he didn't ever seem to figure it out or at least not to try anything new. Terry had 1/3 of the equation (Outwit, Outplay, Outlast) and depended upon it entirely. To me, that is not deserving to win.
Aras was not as physically imposing as Terry but he learned at least the basics of social skills and had the sense to avoid a showdown with Terry and the HII.
Some of it was pure chance - like the numbers coming into the merge. But that was when Terry's thinking/"strategy" was at its worst and it cost him the game, at least IMO. Having only one attribute (and not learning any of the others along the way) is just not enough to make you deserving.

I don't think Aras is getting enough credit for being the person most responsible for getting Casaya the advantage at the merge (which I never think is by chance). LaMina was the physically stronger tribe in many ways and was beating Casaya's collective butts when Aras decided to be "the leader at challenges."
Remember in the recap that they showed this change -- and someone commented in Insider (?) about how Aras was an awesome "manager" and strategized/motivated the tribe to victory in all of those challenges pre-merge.

I cant say... im GLAD Aras won - or that he was most deserving... ;p
i was rooting for Cirie- who just couldnt pull out the physical 'Outplay' of this season.
since a lot of ya'll are pondering why Terry didnt just give the HII it D... i just figure,
yes-there was just too much animostity between him n D(that T was too pizzed she kept toying with him to come to his side....)... he didnt WANT to give it away when
a) he was highly concerned she'd turn on him- then A/C n D would vote him out-- knowing it would be the ''stupidest move ever''...
b)Terry was vocal in PI's on how D was a part of the booting of Courtney; then Shane... ( Terry said at the reunion he give them[C/D/A]a lot of credit...- they figured out his strategy moves and elimininated them... )
yet
c) he prob knew all along she would not honor her word to go F2... so in that way hoped to keep her out of an f2 position.... (it just didnt happen to work...) lol
but yeah i DID wonder why he didn't give D the HII AT LEAST during the last TC.... ***if it WAS possible****......
could??? Terry have heard the TIE vote of D n C, then given it to D...-
votes are cast-he isnt at risk... Cirie goes home...
BUT...... perhaps the rule WAS stated off camera...... that it oculdnt be GIVEN away AFTER votes for someone NOT in possession of it prior to the vote...

I don't think he could give it to her after the vote. If it worked like that, the person with the idol could just wait for a time when the person they want voted off gets 2nd most votes, then they could give the idol to the person who got the most votes to get their way.

Aras to Cirie: If you don't pick me to go with you. Cirie and I won't be your friends anymore.
What an immature baby. Sorry he won, but at least it wasn't Danielle.
Should have been Terry or Cirie.
They both PLAYED the game in different ways, with different strengths and strategies.
Thank goodness they were on the show or we would have had another Africa-ca survivor

I finally read something about the rule on this. Terry said in an interview that the rule was that he had to give the II away on the island and it had to be documented. So I guess he would have to do it in front of the camera on the island.
