Planes and chem trails

I do not usually hang out in the 'hot topics' area, but I wanted to ask your opinions on something I have seen first hand and wanted to know more about. This seemed the better place to ask.

A few days before Christmas on an unseasonably mild winter day my DH said --come outside and look at this--and there were planes in the sky creating a massive tic tac toe pattern in the sky. The sky was very blue but was becoming white from the tic tac toe pattern. Instead of flying forward and leaving the area, the planes would turn and make the alternate stripes.

DH said they were chem trails. After awhile the planes were through--out of the chem exhaust so to speak-- and we noticed how the trails were spreading out and disapating across the sky. Where else would it go eventually but into the air we breathe and down on the ground?

We went to visit family out of town and were gone a few days. On the way home days later, we were listening to a talk radio station and the host was talking about chem trails and different theories about them. The coincidence was eerie to me given we had just seen them. One person on the show mentioned that chem trails--in the deliberate tic tac toe pattern--have been sited all over the country. One person related how they had been in Atlanta at a big suburban mall and pointed out the planes and the tic tac toe patterns that were being drawn overhead at the moment to people going into the mall, but was largely ignored by the average shopper.

What I am asking is what do you all think? Government? Private Industry? What is the agenda or pupose?

But why the tic tac toe patterns? Why doesn't anyone know who they are? I'm confused. I've never heard of this before.

Actually "they" used to do elaborate chem trails of chess boards but the birds complained that they could never finish a game....

Bumper,

I guess it is something you have to see for yourself.

I find it odd that in cities all across the US there are planes making tic tac toe patterns in the sky, emitting white streams of something.... and those streams of something seem to be different than the streams of stuff that come out of regular planes.

And when an Ohio politician creates a bill that mentions chemtrails, it gets changed within a few weeks and chemtrails are left out. No one can get a straight answer on who is spraying when you see these planes.

Why were people calling in on talk radio saying they had seen them as well?

I am not a conspiracy theorist type. This was a serious question.

I did not post it to be ridiculed. I thought we might have a real discussion at SA.

I was not aware of chemtrails and had not heard of them before. I have not seen planes do this in Canada so it's hard for me to comment as this is entirely new to me. I will watch here for more details - that's presuming the enron jokes are finished.

I also did a lot of reading last night after I did a google search on chemtrails. Supposedly these chemtrails only occur with military aircraft and not commercial airlines as military jets fly at a much higher altitude than regular planes. The 3 theories on what the jets are emitting are: 1) Chemicals to control the weather. 2) Chemicals to control the population. 3) Chemicals to innoculate the general population against bio-warfare.

While all three of these theories cause me much concern, the lesser of the three evils would be how the government tries to control the weather. Havent they figured out by now it doesnt work? Or are they testing new chemicals all the time trying to find something that will actually make it rain? And at what expense to the general population that breathes in these chemicals when they fall to the ground?

P.S. As for the Enron joke, it wasnt a joke...I hate to admit I really had no idea who Enron was until I also did a google search on the net for it. I guess maybe I should start watching the news....but then again maybe not, there is never anything good on it.
