• The team which is on the clock has 24 hours to make their selection. This time begins when I or the previous team (see second set of rules below) post(s) the previous team's pick in the announcements thread and officially state the next team is on the clock.
• A team may give me notice of their selection by either private message or e-mail (to sawarroom@hotmail.com). You may also post the pick in a thread on the forum, but I must have a record of it in one of those two places for it to be official. Please include your team name and the round number in the subject of your message.
• If a team does not officially notify me of their selection before this time elapses, they will be passed over and the next team will be able to select.
• A team which loses its pick because their time elapsed will be allowed to make up their pick at the end of the round. If the pick was supposed to be the last of the current round, the round will end and the team will be allowed to make up the pick at the end of the next round.
• At any time, a team may provide me with a list of up to eight Survivors, ranked in order. This would serve as sort-of an "automatic draft" list, similar to those used in online fantasy drafts. When the team gets on the clock, the list will be checked, and the highest-ranked player available on that list will be automatically drafted. This is done in order to save time. If none of the Survivors on a team's list are no longer available, it will be up to the team to submit a new pick in accordance with the rules.
• Any team may not draft more than eight men or eight women.
• Trades may occur at any point in the draft, even if your team is not on the clock.
• Trades may involve either forthcoming picks in the draft or Survivors already drafted.
• Two conditions must be fulfilled for a trade to be valid: 1) The sum total of picks and Survivors traded must be even on both sides; 2) The trade cannot put either team over the limit of eight men or eight women.
• No trade is official until it is reported to me by either private message or e-mail (to sawarroom@hotmail.com) and then recorded in the announcements thread.
• If the current on-clock pick is involved in a trade, the clock will not be reset.

Some late additional and very important rules:

• I will provide public notification of all draft picks between the hours of 8:00 AM & 4:30 PM EDT Mondays through Fridays.
• At all other times, I will normally not be available to post public notification of picks. During these times (evenings on weekdays and all day on weekends) the previous team will be required to provide public notification of their selection. It will not be necessary to contact the next team by private communications since all teams will be expected to check the boards regularly for updates.
• If a team fails to provide this required notice in "off-peak" times, the clock will not start for the next team until I provide public notification of the pick during a "peak" time. The offending team will be penalized by having its next pick dropped one place (unless it is the last pick of the round in question).

The information in the Draft Board is current as of August 13, 2002 and reflects the state of the four teams after the immediate conclusion of the draft.

Trading of Survivors is still possible under the same conditions governing them during the draft. The final deadline for all trades is 5:30 PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time on August 30, 2002. (This means I must receive official notification of the trade by that time for it to be considered valid.)

The official ranking of all Survivors will commence on September 3, 2002 and will continue throughout the month of September, with the final day to submit ranking sheets being September 27, 2002. Team members will not be permitted to participate in the ranking process but are encouraged to encourage other members of the Survivor Addicts community (including any new members to the site as a result of the impending start of the Thailand series) to participate in the ranking process.
